LINE LEADER CRASH
8:01 a.m. — Intersection of GMD and North Shore Road
Traffic Accident: Police observed two SUVs and a van pulling a homemade trailer parked on the side of the road. They told police they all collided with each other when one driver turned west abruptly onto North Shore Road. There were no injuries.
DUCK TALE
11:58 a.m. — 4400 block of GMD
Animal: Police responded to a report of an injured duck and found the bird flopping around on the beach near the Gulf. Police captured the duck in a box and transported it to Save Our Seabirds for treatment associated with red tide.
NOT FOR RENT
4:26 p.m. — 400 block of North Shore Road
Fraud: A man told police a woman inquired about renting his house because she saw it listed on Craigslist. Police told him it was a rental scam and urged him to ask Craigslist to remove the listing.
JEWELRY HEIST
5:59 p.m. — 2500 block of GMD
Burglary: A man told police that two black leather jewelry boxes containing miscellaneous jewelry items and two wristwatches were missing from a top dresser drawer in his bedroom. He recently renovated his home, and a waterproofing company that had repelling ropes on the side of the building also recently completed work. Police learned the man always leaves his balcony doors unlocked and were unable to find prints on the balcony or dresser.

TIDE TROUBLE
11:51 p.m. — 4500 block of GMD
Suspicious Circumstance: Police observed two boats tied off to a coastal marker behind Windward Bay. A man was sleeping on the bow of one of the boats. Once police woke him, he said he was waiting for the tide to go down before he and passengers on the two boats could leave.
