East County holiday lights you don't want to miss

If touring neighborhood lights is your holiday tradition, here's a few in East County you should be sure to check off your list.

The holidays can really bring out illuminating creativity.

If you like loading the car up with friends and family and driving around neighborhoods to admire holiday light displays, here's a few you definitely should add to your tour list. 

Make sure to check out the Peanuts Christmas scene in Braden Woods, 9200 block of 65th Avenue East.

1. While the entire neighborhood of Braden Woods has several impressive light displays, the display at the 9200 block of 65th Avenue East will definitely be fun for the whole family. Several different holiday themes decorate the yard, including a Peanuts nativity scene.

2. The Riverwalk Ridge neighborhood just off of Hidden River Trail Road in Lakewood Ranch also has several brightly-lit homes to check out, but the home at the 7100 block of Spikerush Court is complete with its own driveway arch. Drive in the same neighborhood to Water Poppy Terrace to see more neighborhood displays.

The 5000 block of 20th St. Court E., Bradenton, features a nativity scene, snowmen, penguins and other characters to make the yard more of a winter wonderland.

3. This home just west of U.S. 301, is visible from State Road 70. Complete with a nativity scene, penguins and other cold-weather critters, this yard is as close as you can get to a winter wonderland in Florida.
