Lakewood grapplers post third-place finish

The Lakewood Ranch High wrestling team finished third at the 24-team Southside Duals Dec. 18 and Dec. 19, at Boca Ciega High. 

The Mustangs posted a 6-2 record throughout the two-day tournament. Lakewood’s two losses came to Bellview, ranked No. 8 in the state, and Venice, ranked No. 14, in the state. 

Luis-Tremblay Vidal, Hunter Reed and Dylan Cameron all went 8-0 to win their respective weight classes. Tim Dwyer and Jake Seaman both went 7-1. Nate Lancaster, Ryan Brown, Anthony Capozzi and Chase Sharp all finished 6-2. Tyler Gilbert went 5-2 and Logan Bounds went 5-3.
