JAN. 26
FAMILY DISCOUNT
2:09 p.m. — 7300 block of 52nd Place East.
Theft: An employee was caught on live surveillance providing discounts to family members and selecting items off shelves that he wanted them to purchase with the discounts.

JAN. 27
ALARMING THEFT
1:59 p.m. — 6800 block of Dominion Place.
Burglary: A woman left home to get her hair done and go grocery shopping; she left the house alarm off and the entry door to the garage open. When she returned, she discovered her jewelry was missing.

POP-UP BREAK-IN
4:24 p.m. — 7200 block of 55th Avenue East.
Burglary: A man reported someone broke into his vehicle by popping open the driver’s side lock through the window.

BIKER GANG
5:11 p.m. — 100 block of Woodstock Road.
Information Only: A woman reported that several boys on dirt bikes have been driving recklessly on the road leading up to her home. She also reported they yell obscenities at her when she asks them to move away from her property. She filmed them and presented a video to police. She also followed them to a nearby neighborhood where she believes they reside. Police agreed to patrol the area more frequently.

JAN. 28
KEYS TO THE THEFT
8:50 a.m. — 8100 block of Lakewood Main Street.
Vehicle Theft: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle that had keys sitting on the front seat, started the car up and drove away with it in an unknown direction.

SURVEILLANCE NABS SUSPECT
10:36 a.m. — 2900 block of 53rd Avenue East.
Theft: A store employee observed a man cutting security tags off items and stuffing the items down his pants. He fled before he was apprehended. Video revealed the suspect left in a two-door red sports car, and police were able to find the car and the suspect in the area. More than $120 in store merchandise was recovered, and the suspect was arrested.

CLUB DISAPPEARS
2:12 p.m. — 7600 block of The Park Boulevard.
Theft: A pro shop employee reported the theft of a golf club from the store.

JAN. 29
POLE PROBLEM
6:22 p.m. — 3400 block of 55th Drive East.
Theft: A man reported someone stole his fishing pole and reel that was leaning against the side of his home.

REPEAT RUNAWAY
9:53 p.m. — 15600 block of Lemon Fish Drive.
Runaway: A mother called to report that her teenage son ran away from home for the third time. The last time he ran away he was located at a lunch eatery, but police couldn’t locate him there.

NO LONGER WELCOME
11:09 p.m. — 2800 block of University Parkway.
Trespass Warning: A grocery store manager reported that three men were causing a disturbance in the parking lot. They were trespassed from the property and expressed to police and the manager their disappointment in the decision as they walked away.

BAD BATHROOM DECISION
11:14 p.m. — 6300 block of State Road 70 East.
Lost property: A man left his cell phone in a public restroom. When he returned to retrieve the phone, he discovered it was gone.

JAN. 30
MARIO LOPEZ LOOKALIKE ARRESTED
2:57 a.m. — Intersection of Arbor Reserve Drive and Lockwood Ridge Road.
Traffic Stop: Police observed a motorist make a left turn into the Arbor Reserve neighborhood from southbound Lockwood Ridge Road. Halfway through the turn, the motorist aborted the turn upon seeing the squad car. Police initiated a traffic spot and the driver told police her name was Mario Lopez and provided a birth date of Jan. 20, 2015. The woman couldn’t provide any other information and was arrested.
