Science savvy

Eight East County middle school students and one high school student have earned bids to the 60th annual State Science and Engineering Fair to be held March 31 through April 2, in Lakeland.

Seventeen Manatee County students earned first place in the 2015 Lockheed Martin Manatee Regional Science and Engineering Fair Jan. 14 to Jan. 19 to earn top stops.
