Manatee County School Board to review 2014 financial statements

The Manatee County School Board has proof in print that 2014 was a financially successful year for the school district.

At its meeting at 5:45 p.m. Feb. 10, board members will review the district's financial statements through Dec. 31, 2014.

Highlights of last year's financial standings include:

— $85.35 million in assets in the general fund

— $94.48 million spent on instruction, or 62.34% of the general fund

— $15.50 million increase in total revenues from 2013

The School Board will meet at the School Support Center, 215 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
