1:58 p.m. — 8300 Market Street.
Battery: A woman reported that another grocery store shopper intentionally hit her with his shopping cart,
injuring her hip.

Feb. 4
Bridgewater
8:06 a.m. — 5600 block of Cloverleaf Run.
Burglary to Conveyance: Unknown suspects took a grill from within the dwelling during the evening or night.

Lockwood Ridge Road
7:48 p.m. — 8300 block of Lockwood Ridge Road.

Tresspass Warning: The loss-prevention officer reported a shoplifting incident.

The suspect selected items and concealed them inside a diaper bag and under a blanket in the shopping cart and crossed all points of sale without attempting to pay for them.

Sabal Harbour
5:53 p.m. — 4400 block of Sanibel Way.

Fraud: A man told police his company’s human resources department received an unemployment claim
under his name. The man had no knowledge of the claim and is still available for work.

Feb. 5
Country Meadows
7:22 a.m. — 14700 block of Fourth Drive Northeast.

Burglary: A man reported that someone broke into his lanai by cutting the screen. Once inside, the suspect threw two topiary plants valued at $700 into the pool. No other property was missing or vandalized. The repair to the screen is estimated at $100.

Feb. 6
59th Avenue drive east
3:47 a.m. — 2800 block of 59th Avenue Drive East.

Criminal Mischief: A co-worker told a man his car had a broken windshield. Police later found
a broken Corona beer bottle nearby. The owner of the car told police one of his co-workers believes he’s involved in a relationship with the co-worker’s wife and he could have thrown the bottle at the car.

State Road 70 East
4:36 p.m. — 7100 block of State Road 70 East.

Recovered Property: A woman reported that some teenagers left a knife under the front porch eating area of a fast-food restaurant.
