Obituary: Clare Hungerford Goss Randall

Clare Hungerford Goss Randall, 92, of Longboat Key and Madison, Conn., died Feb. 1.

Born Nov. 14, 1922, she spent her childhood in Watertown, Conn. She attended the Westover School and studied at the Yale University School of Art.

Mrs. Randall was a devoted mother who volunteered in health care and education. She was also a passionate gardener and member of the Madison Garden Club, Madison Beach Club, the Winter Club and the Sarasota Yacht Club.

Mrs. Randall is preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Boggs Goss and Judge William Randall; and son, Edward Hungerford Goss. She is survived by her son, Stuart Tysen Goss; stepchildren William Randall, Jonathan Randall and Eleanor Randall Epstein; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A service was held Feb. 9.
