Orchestra rehearsal with PMP/Suncoast Super Strings

Perlman Music Program's Suncoast Super Strings, which consists 34 young violinists and violists from across Florida, played the solo lines of the first movement of Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins in D minor, also known as, the “Bach Double,” Friday, Jan. 2, at the Sarasota Opera House. Playing under the baton of Itzhak Perlman with the PMP String Orchestra, this is the second to last musical event in The Perlman Music Program Sarasota’s 11^th annual two-week winter residency.

The program will end with the Celebration Concert Saturday, Jan. 3, at the Sarasota Opera House, followed by the gala dinner to celebrate Perlman’s faculty, students, sponsors and patrons. For more information, call 350-2338.
