Everything’s expired
8:54 p.m. — 2900 block of 53rd Avenue East. Driver’s License Suspension. A police officer discovered the driver in front of him was traveling with a suspended driver’s license. Once pulled over, police discovered the man also had expired insurance. Police took the man to jail and had his car towed from the scene.

Stolen heart
2:15 p.m. — 12200 block of Winding Woods Way. Grand Theft. A man told police he had gotten drunk with a woman at his home and that the woman later stole his car keys and drove off in his car. He called the woman in the presence of an officer, and she agreed to return the vehicle. The officer left, and the man continued to drink alcohol. When he awoke, he discovered the car was still gone and his front door was wide open. Neighbors reported multiple people going in and out of the house early in the morning, along with the woman. More than $10,000 in stolen property, including the car, is missing.
Fetching decorations
5:49 p.m. — 6200 block of Yellowtop Drive. Theft. A woman reported someone stole her pink poodle Christmas decoration from her front lawn. None of the neighbors saw anything suspicious.
Lleft behind
8:55 p.m. — 8000 block of Cooper Creek Boulevard. Theft. A man told police he thinks he left his keys and wedding ring (attached to the key chain) on top of the gas pump while he was pumping gas. The value of the keys and wedding band is estimated at $500.

Smell test
3:08 p.m. — 110000 block of State Road 70 East. Possession of Marijuana. A car with its windows down passed a squad car with its windows down. The officer smelled marijuana and pulled the vehicle over. The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Identity theft
1:32 p.m. — 5100 block of Creekside Trail. Fraud. A man told police someone obtained his personal information and opened two new bank accounts. The person deposited fraudulent checks into the accounts to withdraw money.
Divine intervention
11:13 p.m. — 6400 block of State Road 64 East. Found Property. A former employee was arrested at a fast food restaurant for attempting to purchase food with counterfeit money with other individuals. The group told police that an individual who goes by the name of “Black Jesus” gave the fake money to them.

Strange sounds
11:38 p.m. — 3800 block of 74th Avenue East. Suspicious Circumstance. A couple told police they were watching TV when they heard the sound of someone walking around their home, followed by a red light illuminating their backyard. Police found nothing suspicious.

Finance fight
4:12 p.m. — 6000 block of Chaparral Avenue. Domestic Disturbance. A husband and wife got into a heated exchange over their finances. Neither denied any physical violence and claimed the only thing they need to get under control was their finances.
Jan. 3
Auto thefts
9:32 a.m. — 4000 block of 75th Drive East. Burglary. A man reported that his visor was down in his car when he entered the vehicle in the morning and he never puts his visor down. He also found the passenger door only partially closed. Nothing appeared to be missing and prints were not located from the car. Later, he discovered $10 missing from the dashboard of his other car.
