Mr. Beery's named one of America's top 100 beer bars

As Sarasota continues to make a name for itself in the craft beer world, local craft-beer bar, Mr. Beery's, is the latest local watering hole to receive national accolades in the name of luxurious libation.

Draft Magazine, a bi-monthly beer culture magazine focused on craft-beer lifestyle, breweries, pub and beer reviews, trends and travel, named Mr. Beery's in its annual list of America's 100 best beer bars.

According to the article, bars were chosen based on several factors, including selection, bartender knowledge and a dedication to craft beer.

This isn't the first time the magazine has recognized the local mainstay; the bar has made the publication's top-100 list every year since first being recognized in 2012.

Mr. Beery's was one of only three Florida bars to earn the distinction this year, alongside Laser Wolf in Fort Lauderdale and Redlight Redlight in Orlando.
