In the two years since Good Graeff hit the Sarasota music scene in full force, the twin sister indie-pop act quickly won the hearts — and ears of the city's music-lovers.

Their simple, whimsically infectious songs, punny stage banter and ever-present smiles have made them one of Sarasota's most lovable and easy-to-root-for bands, and it didn't take long for them to make a name for themselves in the region, where they regularly drew crowds in Sarasota, Tampa, St. Petersburg and Orlando.

In just a few short years, they've recorded two EPs, signed with a booking agent and music lawyer, embarked on several regional tours and landed festival gigs supporting national, big-name acts.

Now, as many have predicted along the way, their career is continuing its upward trajectory. Later this month, Brooke and Brittany Graeff will hit the road for Los Angeles, where they'll take the next step in their pursuit of a career in music, broadening their fan base and touring new cities.

But first, the two have put together one final show in their hometown to celebrate with friends and fans before saying goodbye.

This Saturday, Jan. 17, Good Graeff will play their farewell show at their regular stomping ground, Growler's Pub. Opening the night is Physical Plant — another one of Sarasota's most talented and unique original bands, who will get the night started with their brand of psychedelic-folk harmony.

Good Graeff will follow, taking the stage for an extended set of old songs, crowd favorites, brand new songs and a handful of surprise guest appearances to make the night one to remember. Come out and celebrate the band's time in Sarasota and help send them off in style.
