Emma Katz, daughter of Rabbi Jonathan and Marty Katz, hit a high note with her performance of “All I Do” from “Singin’ in the Rain.”

Katz won a “best performer” medal Jan. 18, in the Broadway Junior category at the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta. A seventh-grade student at Sarasota Middle School, Katz was one of three students out of 140 to receive the honor. She accepted her medal in front of 4,500 attendees who traveled to the festival from throughout the U.S.
