+ Sarasota Yacht Club receives distinguished award
Sarasota Yacht Club has become the only private club in the Sarasota and Tampa Bay area to receive the Distinguished Emerald Club of the World award. The annual Distinguished Clubs of the World award program, conducted by BoardRoom magazine, determined the distinction.

“In presenting this award, BoardRoom magazine praised our club’s ability to provide an excellent member experience, something that is at the heart of everything we do here,” said Bernhard G. Kloppenburg, Sarasota Yacht Club general manager, in a release. “Credit for this award goes not only to our board, staff and management, but also to our members who are so actively involved in creating the intangible moments that lead to an unmatched member experience.”

Sarasota Yacht Club is one of only seven yacht, beach and lake clubs in the United States to achieve Distinguished Emerald Club status.

+ Bob Rosinsky to serve as president of FGA
President and CEO of Goodwill Manasota, Bob Rosinsky, was recently appointed as president of the Florida Goodwill Association (FGA). Rosinsky has worked for Goodwill for 42 years and has served as the president and CEO of Goodwill Manasota since 2012.

FGA is made up of nine territories of Goodwill stores throughout Florida and Alabama. The association was formed approximately five years ago and began as a way for Goodwill stores to meet and discuss day-to-day operations to improve the impact and reach of Goodwill in each surrounding territory. Within FGA, subgroups communicate about a variety of topics: donated goods/retail, recycling, mission services, marketing/branding, risk management and human resources.

“I have been fortunate to have learned from great leaders throughout my 42-year career with Goodwills around the country,” said Rosinsky in a release. “The previous FGA president, Don Roberts, also served as the previous Goodwill Manasota CEO, and I am proud to continue his legacy and involvement.

“I am honored to begin this new role as president of the Florida Goodwill Association because I am excited to see the new advances we can make that will help us to have an even larger impact on our state. We succeed because we are all working toward the same goals: stronger local economies, a stronger and more empowered workforce and stronger communities.”
