TWIS Tour Guide: Where to watch the Super Bowl

Come kickoff time this Sunday night, the only thing more important than what team you're rooting for is where you're watching the action.

If you're not lucky enough to have a Super-Bowl-worthy screen for the game, or a friend who does, or ... friends ... don't fret; we've reviewed the tapes and gathered a list of the best parties in town to satisfy even the most diehard fans.

  • JDub's  — takes place at 6 p.m. Festivities include free pizza during the game, free 4 oz. beers at touchdowns and raffle tickets with every beer purchased. Raffle items include Tampa Bay Lightning tickets, growlers, free beers and JDub's merch.
  • Mr. Beery's — takes place at 6 p.m. Watch the game on a 115-inch screen or any of the other four flat screens while enjoying craft beer on tap and all-day happy hour prices and other beer specials. Beery's will provide some small snacks, but guests are welcome to order food from surrounding Gulf Gate restaurants.
  • Motorworks Brewing Company — takes place at 4 p.m. With two 250-inch projection screens, Motorworks is a good bet for indoor or outdoor viewing. Food truck munchies will be available as well as drink specials and a V Foundation raffle.
  • Old School — takes place at 6 p.m. Festivities include a $100 cash-prize cornhole tournament, a $100 cash-prize punching bag contest, wing specials, pitcher, bucket and bloody Mary specials, as well as first-come-first-served swag from the Fireball ladies.
  • Mattison's City Grille — takes place at 1 p.m. Enjoy the game on a big screen while tasting game-day specials from chef Paul Mattison. Enjoy drink specials and happy-hour prices from 2 to 6 p.m.
  • Pier 22 — takes place at 4 p.m. This party includes 13 HD LED screens, a buffet, drink specials and contests. Reservations recommended. Admission is $21.95
  • Gecko's — takes place at 6 p.m. at all locations. Party includes beer specials, prize packs, including bikes, grills, coolers and other swag for contests including Super Bowl Trivia, commercial bingo, best-dressed-fan award and other surprise giveaways.
  • Miller's Ale House — takes place at 5 p.m. Features all-you-can-eat buffet of snow crab legs, a carving station, wine and more. Admission is $25.
  • The Devyn — takes place at 5 p.m. Watch the game on a 120-inch screen, gourmet pizza from Polpo Pizza Company and other food from Old School Bar and Grill. Admission is $50.
  • Bearded Clam — takes place at 5 p.m. This fourth-annual event features gift certificates, giveaways and prizes, seven indoor flat screens and five outdoor screens, as well as an 80-inch jumbo screen on the outside deck. Happy hour from 11 a.m. to close and a $10.95 all-you-can-eat buffet while available.
