TUESDAY, JULY 7

Babyl — takes place at 6:30 p.m. at World of Beer Main Street. Free.

Come enjoy some tunes at the new downtown Sarasota World of Beer.

Music by Babyl, featuring Ben Jacobs, David Cornicelli, Marcellus Salerni and Almonte. Opening acts include Cobie Fox and Cody Keller. 


WEDNESDAY, JULY 8

The Great American Dinner Theatre — takes place from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Starlite Room, 1001 Cocoanut Ave. Free.

Celebrate making it halfway through the work week with a night of karaoke and bingo at the Starlite Room.

Bingo players can win unique prizes, such as theater tickets, bottles and gift cards, and all karaoke singers will get a free shot with their first song.


THURSDAY, JULY 9

+ Sarasota Improv Festival — takes place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Florida Studio Theatre, 1241 N. Palme Ave. $10 to $69.

Get ready for three days of nonstop comedy courtesy of improv troupes from all over the country, plus a handful of international groups.

This three-day event, which takes place at Florida Studio Theatre, will keep you laughing with acts like Baby Wants Candy, Avaiable Cupholders, Dad's Garage, ImprovBoston, SAK Comedy Lab and more. Single tickets and multi-day passes are available.


FRIDAY, JULY 10

+ Local Evolution Craft Market — takes place at 5 p.m. at Darwin Brewing Company, 803 17th Ave. W. Bradenton. Free.

Local beer and local crafts are the focus of this recurring event and collaboration between Geraldson Community Farm and Darwin Brewing Company.

Meet your local farmers and artisans and enjoy freshly prepared food, local music and craft beer in a beautiful brewery setting. Dogs welcome.


SATURDAY, JULY 11

+ Harvey Milk Festival Fundraiser — takes place at 7 p.m. at Throb Nightclub, 2201 Industrial Blvd. $5.

This year's Harvey Milk Festival suffered revenue loss after a rain storm put a damper on the live music downtown.

Now, the nonprofit organization is throwing a follow-up party to help raise more funds. The event will feature live music by MeteorEYES and DJ Imminent, as well as current and past festival merchandise. All proceeds will benefit the harvey Milk Festival.


SUNDAY, JULY 12

+ Sunday Night Comedy — takes place at 8 p.m. atMr. Beery’s, 2645 Mall Drive. $5.

Mr. Beery’s presents its new Sunday night comedy series, featuring national touring comedians.

After taking a break for the Fourth of July weekend, the series returns to Mr. Beery's. Ages 21 and older, $5 cover and beer specials during the performance.
