FDOT plans public meeting

The public will be able to view plans or the diverging diamond interchange and ask questions of the construction team.

The Florida Department of Transportation will host a public information meeting on the construction of a diverging diamond at the University Parkway/Interstate 75 interchange next week.

The meeting is scheduled for 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. July 23, at Keiser University, 6151 Lake Osprey Drive, Sarasota. 

Attendees will be able to view an animation of the project design and talk one-on-one with project staff. There will be no formal presentation.

Contruction officially starts Aug. 3.
