FRIDAY, JULY 17

Ben Bailey — takes place at 9:30 p.m. at McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre, 1923 Ringling Blvd. $29.

Acclaimed standup comedian Ben Bailey is the most desired cabbie in New York. Host of the highly successful shows “Cash Cab” and “Cash Cab: After Dark” on the Discovery Channel, he’s been featured in publications such as Entertainment Weekly, People Magazine and the New York Post.

Now, catch him out of the cab and onstage at McCurdy’s in Sarasota.


SATURDAY, JULY 18

Mandeville Summer Event Series — takes place from 6 to 11 p.m. at Mandeville Beer Garden, 428 N. Lemon Ave. 

Join Mandeville Beer Garden staff for an evening of barrel-aged beers, barbecue and cigars.

The beer garden will have flights of barrel-aged beers, barbecue pork sliders and cigars available to purchase and pair with your beers.


SUNDAY, JULY 19

I Hate Hamlet — takes place at 2 p.m. at the Players Theatre, 838 N. Tamiami Trail. $18.

A young and successful television actor relocates to New York, where he rents a marvelous, gothic apartment.

With his television career in limbo, the actor is offered the opportunity to play Hamlet onstage, but there’s one problem: He hates Hamlet. Catch this performance at the Players and end your weekend with a bit of culture.

+ Sunday Night Comedy — takes place at 8 p.m. atMr. Beery’s, 2645 Mall Drive. $5.

Mr. Beery’s presents its new Sunday night comedy series, featuring national touring comedians.

This week's performance, hosted by Joe Tricarcio, features comics Murv Seymour, Jared Waters and special guest Jeff Gueli. Event is ages 21 and older and features drink specials throughout the performance.
