Do This: Sex Trivia at Growler's Pub

Anyone in touch with Sarasota's nightlife scene knows that trivia night at Growler's Pub is somewhat of an institution.

Each week, the area's best and brainiest descend on the bar to battle it out for the coveted title of winner at arguably the toughest trivia in town.

This Friday, however, things will be a little different — the popular beer bar is teaming up with Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida to present Sex Trivia, a night of beer, prizes, jokes and questions about everyone's favorite topic.

According to Heather McLellan, a member of the Planned Parenthood volunteer community action team, the night is about opening a dialogue and promoting sexual health advocacy.

"We want to encourage people to talk about this," she says. "It's a fun way to remove some of the discomfort people can feel talking about sexual health, and it's a good way to remind people that we're always available for them."

Planned Parenthood will work with Growler's to develop the questions, provide prizes and keep the evening entertaining.
