In an attempt to lower veterinarian costs for pet owners Cat Depot has opened the doors to the new Rose Durham Cat Clinic.

The full service clinic now offers affordable veterinary care to the felines of Cat Depot and the public six days a week. Services available through the clinic for felines of all ages include cold laser therapy, dentistry, vaccines, spay and neuter services.

Cat Depot Executive Director Shelley Thayer described the features of the new clinic that include radiology, blood machines, dental radiology and a surgery center.

“Sarasota and Manatee Counties now have a low cost alternative to traditional veterinary care. Cat Depot is working with local veterinarians and our community to provide high quality medical services for those who are challenged to meet established medical care costs,” Thayer said in a release.

Revenue from the clinic will benefit Cat Depot’s efforts to helping homeless cats throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties.

The facility is currently open with a grand opening and ribbon cutting planned for June 24 at 4 p.m. Members of the community will have a chance to tour the facility and meet the veterinarians.
