Palm-Aire Women’s Club raises funds, spirits

Whether they’re whipping up brownies and cookies for a community bake sale or sponsoring corporate events, members of the Palm-Aire Women’s Club know how to raise money.

The women have raised more than $17,000 for local students and area nonprofit groups this year, members announced at the club’s May meeting. 

Last month, more than $1,000 in grants went to ITN Sarasota, Dollar Dynasty, Take Stock in Children Manatee and other causes. 

The group funds scholarships and grants with money raised from local events.
