Tonight's the night — Summer Chef Jam, the annual collaborative food and beer event presented by Shamrock Pub, Edible Sarasota and Chefs2U, kicks off its first event of the season.

A summertime favorite among craft beer-lovers and foodies alike, Summer Chef Jam is a nine-week series in which local chefs set up shop at Shamrock and prepare three small plates, which they pair with bottomless pints of local craft beer and a locally made dessert from Pop Craft Pops.

For a $25 admission fee, you'd be hard pressed to find a better value.

Ushering in this summer's series is Darwin Santa Maria, of Darwin's on 4th, who will prepare the following:

  •  El 'Patron' Ceviche - Corvina, roasted pepper and ginger cream, Cancha and onions, paired with Summadayze IPA
  • Guava Glazed Salmon - Lime, marinated Tuscan kale and wild arugula salad, paired with: Pirata Pils
  • Pork Belly Chaufa - Infused Aji Panca fried rice, egg, pineapple, kohlrabi and edamame, paired with: Llama Mama Milk Stout

Tickets are limited to 50 guests, and tickets for all events are currently on sale at Shamrock Pub. Visit the event page for a full lineup of chefs.

Summer Chef Jam  takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shamrock Pub, 2257 Ringling Blvd. $25.
