The Sarasota Area Sports Alliance recently awarded 15 college scholarships during its 8th annual scholarship breakfast, at the University Park Country Club.
Recipients were chosen for their commitment to athletics, academics and the community. With the help of community donors, 10 seniors were awarded $1,000 scholarships and five students were awarded $500 renewal scholarships.
New scholarship recipients include:
SASA Tandem Construction Sports Scholarship — Carter Page, Riverview High
SASA Fawley Bryant Architects Scholarship — Brooke Bezdek, Venice High
SASA LPGA’s Symetra Tour Guardian Retirement Championship Scholarship supported in part by US Tent Rental — Hale Inocente, State College of Florida
SASA New York Yankees Scholarship — Emma Bartges, Southeast High
SASA New Balance Sarasota Scholarship — Aude-Eureka Monde, Cardinal Mooney High
SASA Benderson Corporation Scholarship — Alexis Feraco, Pine View High
SASA First Watch Half Marathon Scholarship — Rodrigo Amaya, North Port High
SASA IMG Academy Scholarship — Sophia Gasca, Venice High
SASA Baltimore Orioles Scholarship — Cameron Pearcey, Lakewood Ranch High
Renewal scholarship recipients include:

SASA New York Yankees Scholarship — Tessa Bartges, Florida State University
