TUESDAY, MARCH 3
Never Marry a Girl with Cold Feet: And Other Life Lessons From Vaudeville — takes place at 6 p.m. at Florida Studio Theatre. $18 to $36.
Celebrate America's original form of entertainment — Vaudeville — with this recently opened cabaret production.
This show highlights some of the top musicians of the time, including Fanny Brice, George M. Cohen, Jerome Kern and Al Jolson. Plays through June 7.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4
Baltimore Orioles Spring Training Home Opener — takes place at 1:05 p.m. at Ed Smith Stadium. $13.
Get in the mood for baseball season at the Baltimore Orioles' first home spring training game this Wednesday.
The Orioles will kick off their Spring Training season in Sarasota with this day game against the Detroit Tigers.
THURSDAY, MARCH 5
Yakov Smirnoff — takes place at 7 p.m. at McCurdy's Comedy Theatre. $26.
Russian-born stand-up comedian, Yakov Smirnoff, best known for his observational humor, returns to the stage in his newest endeavor, "The Happily Ever Laughter Tour."
Smirnoff takes his comedy to a new level to showcase laughter's effects on relationships and the world.
FRIDAY, MARCH 6
Moon Over Myakka — Ben Prestage — takes place at 7 p.m. at Myakka River State Park. $15 to $20.
Catch one-man band, Ben Prestage, under the scenic Myakka State Park moonlight as he dishes out his unique brand of finger-picked, foot-drummed cigar-box blues.
Prestage has earned fourth, third and second place at the International Blues Challenge and is the only two-time recipient of the Lyon/Pitchford Award for "Best Diddley-Bow Player." He's played across North America, Europe and has been invited to play in North Africa; now catch him in Sarasota.
SATURDAY, MARCH 7
FST Improv: Out of Bounds Match Up — takes place at 7:30 p.m. at Florida Studio Theatre. $15.
Two teams take the stage to duke it out for the most laughs. Taking audience suggestions, the FST Improv actors will twist and turn them into something hilarious.
Who will win the duel of fools? You get to decide as they battle it out. Arrive an hour prior to the show for dinner and drinks.
SUNDAY, MACH 8
Brunch and Brews — takes place from 9:30 a.m. to noon at JDub's Brewing Company. $25.
JDub's Brewing is teaming up with local food truck, Morgan's Canteen & Cookery, to present "Brunch and Brews."
Enjoy a two-course brunch and beer pairing in the JDub's tap room. First course will be served at 9:30am and beer pairings are available throughout the event.
