World-renowned leader to speak on Israel and the Holocaust

Longboat Key is home to many people who have achieved extraordinary feats throughout their lifetimes. Dr. Thomas Hecht is one of those people.

A Holocaust survivor, Hecht is one of the builders of the State of Israel and the founder of the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, which advances the pursuit for peace in Israel and advises Israel’s administrations on policy decisions. He is considered to be one of the leading and most influential modern Jewish figures.

He will be speaking at the AL KATZ Center in Bradenton, 5910 Cortez Road on 11 a.m. on March 8. There will be a reception following Hecht’s speech, which is titled “The Uniqueness of the Holocaust.” The center provides Jewish learning and support and has been recognized by several area media outlets.
