To celebrate the accomplishments of former Sarasota Mayor and Executive Director of The Argus Foundation, Kerry Kirschner, friends, colleagues and family gathered Thursday night at The Field Club. Guests shared memories of Kirschner's achievements in Sarasota throughout his leadership roles during a cocktail hour. Photos of Kirschner were projected in a slideshow for guests. Long-time friend Joe Hembree addressed the crowd during a presentation of a retirement gift to Kirschner. The gift inclued a golf trip to Carmel, California.
"When you look around this room and you see the people in it, Kerry, this is a testament of the quality of work you've done," Hembree said.

Kirschner took a chance to thank guests in attendance for their support throughout the years.
"I feel like Forrest Gump," Kirschner said. "Every time there's a possibility for things to go bad, things go good. It's a great legacy and I can't say how proud I am to be part of it."
