BARR ROAD
MARCH 1

3:03 p.m. — 8000 block of Barr Road. 

Theft: A man reported that $800 worth of missing items was stolen from his barn. He believes family members who helped him clean up and work around his farm three weeks ago could be the culprits. 

MILL CREEK
MARCH 2

12:11 p.m. — 400 block of Woodview Way. 

Disturbance: A mother who was evicted from her daughter’s home returned to pick up the rest of her belongings. When her daughter wouldn’t let her in the house, she pushed by her daughter in the doorway to get her belongings. No physical violence was observed. The daughter was given more information about the protocol for eviction notices. 

PRESERVE AT PANTHER RIDGE
MARCH 2

5:49 a.m. — 800 block of Snowy Egret Place. 

Criminal Mischief: A man reported that someone smashed the front driver window to his car, causing $500 worth of damage. Nothing was missing from the vehicle. 

STATE ROAD 70 EAST
MARCH 2

5:13 p.m. — 8700 block of State Road 70 East. 

Forgery: A bank representative called a customer who was on vacation to question a check cashed from his account. The customer said he hadn’t written any checks. When he returned home from vacation, he discovered items missing from his home, including his checkbook. 

MARCH 3
3:45 p.m. — 2900 block of State Road 70 East. 

Grand Theft: A woman took several items to a self-checkout counter, scanned the items and tried to leave the store without paying for them. A loss-prevention officer intercepted her, and police arrived to escort her to jail. 

PORTAL CROSSING
3 p.m. — 10500 block of Portal Crossing. 

Harassment: A mother reported that her son was receiving harassing telephone calls. She believes the suspect is a student at her son’s school. They blocked the number from her son’s phone. 

ESPLANADE
MARCH 4

9:38 a.m. — 5300 block of Vacarro Road. 

Trespassing: Someone attempted to break into a home by entering through a sliding-glass door. Once the door was opened, police believe the homeowner’s dogs startled the suspect. Nothing was missing from the home. 

LOCKWOOD RIDGE ROAD
MARCH 4
 
1:41 a.m. — 8300 block of Lockwood Ridge Road. 

Trespass Warning: A crowd informed police that a drunken man attempted to fight bar patrons in the parking lot after he left the bar. No one wished to file charges against the man. He was trespassed from the bar. 

29TH STREET EAST
MARCH 4

1:48 p.m. — 6200 block of 29th Street East.

Theft: A janitor stole some copper from his employer and sold it to a metal shop. He told police he thought it was garbage and he was free to sell it. Police observed him concealing the metal in his pickup truck. His employer fired him, and police arrested him.

LINKS COURT
MARCH 4

9:26 p.m. — 7500 block of Links Court.

Burglaries: Police responded to reports of two burglaries on a street and discovered someone had broken into a house through a back sliding door in a screened lanai. The other house had a broken door handle from someone who broke in. Jewelry was taken from both homes but electronics were left behind. Neighborhood video surveillance offered no clues.  

GREENBROOK BOULEVARD
MARCH 6

2:12 p.m. — 6600 block of Greenbrook Boulevard.

Found Property: A middle school teacher found a small projectile in the school hallway near an emergency exit. Police removed the item.
