Local residents in need of an afternoon of music received their wish March 21 at Ranch Jam. The three-day inaugural event brought a range of musical acts, such as country performer Jeff Cook of Alabama and his Allstar Goodtime Band, and blues troupe, The Kat Crosby Band. Attendees scattered their lawn chairs and blankets across the acres of Big Red Cattle Co.’s farm, located in Myakka City. The event also featured an area for overnight camping, and food and craft vendors.
