A group of nine attorneys and one staff member with Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP helped keep Sarasota beautiful by cleaning up the bayfront. For four hours on Saturday, March 20 the group picked up trash as part of the 2015 Great American Cleanup.
The efforts for the cleanup extended to across Sarasota County with more than 30 outdoor locations participating for volunteers to remove litter, plant trees and flowers, clean and restore natural trails. The volunteers from Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick concentrated on Bayfront Park and the nearby marina. They collected litter and removed debris to improve the public spaces and water quality.
The attorneys who participated are all part of Leadership Shumaker, a charitable program within the firm that raises money and organizes volunteer shifts for worthy causes.
