High five moments

1 - Cardinal Mooney senior guard Ryan McMahon was named the Class 3A Player of the Year last week by the Florida Dairy Farmers. 

2 - The Lakewood Ranch High boys basketball team earned a 3.512 cumulative team grade-point average to win the Class 7A Academic Team Championship.

3 - Goalkeeper Aidan Dowdy recorded 10 saves to post his first shutout and lead The Out-of-Door Academy boys lacrosse team to a 13-0 victory over Sarasota Military Academy March 17. 

4 - The Out-of-Door Academy sophomore Maria Ross won her first USTA Gold Ball as a member of the Angels during the USTA National Spring Championships team event March 7 through March 12, in Mobile, Ala. 

5 - Reagan Griffith scored five goals and added two assists to help lead the Cardinal Mooney boys lacrosse team to a 14-9 victory over Community School of Naples March 18.
