John Ringling Estates home sells for $2.25 million

A home in John Ringling Estates tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Susan Orders, of Charleston, W.Va., sold her home at 424 N. Washington Drive to John VanMeter, of Sarasota, for $2.25 million. Built in 1974, it has six bedrooms, four and a half baths, a pool and 4,465 square feet of living area. 

Villa Di Lancia
Patricia Scanlan, personal representative, of Decatur, Ill., sold the Unit 134 condominium at 2165 Gulf of Mexico Drive to James and Michelene Lepczyk, of Grosse Pointe, Mich., for $1.5 million. Built in 1996, it has two bedrooms, three baths and 2,448 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $646,300 in 1996.  

Sanctuary a Longboat Key Club
Gerald Biller, of Sarasota, Richard Biller, of Deerfield, Ill., David Biller, of Manhattan, Kansas, trustees, and Robert and Joan Biller, of Longboat Key, sold the Unit B-204 condominium at 535 Sanctuary Drive to Kelly and Eva Ann King, of Winston-Salem, N.C., for $1,225,000. Built in 1990, it has three bedrooms, two and a half baths and 2,590 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $470,000 in 1991.

Weston Pointe
Robert and Nortrud Loy, of Doylestown, Pa., sold their home at 602 Weston Pointe Court to Joseph and Regina Platano, of Longboat Key, for $710,000. Built in 1993, it has three bedrooms, three and a half baths, a pool and 2,568 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.05 million in 2004. 

Islands West
Jeanne Libit, trustee, of Great Falls, Va., sold the Unit 1-A condominium at 2525 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Judie Kramer, of Longboat Key, for $660,000. Built in 1972, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,460 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $592,000 in 2001.

Conrad Beach
Bank of America sold the home at 7000 Firehouse Road to Steven and Patricia Bergman, of Longboat Key, for $656,900. Built in 2004, it has two bedrooms, three baths and 1,921 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $880,000 in 2014.

Portobello
Chad and Deanna Stec, of Valrico, sold their Unit A-302 condominium at 3235 Gulf of Mexico Drive to 37 South Delaware Avenue LP for $575,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,260 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $475,000 in 2013. 

The Aquarius Club
Martin and Phyllis Vogel, of Boston, Mass., sold their Unit P-H condominium at 1701 Gulf of Mexico Drive to 2432780 Ontario Inc. for $524,600. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,551 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $287,500 in 1998.

Seaplace
Robert Gaynes, of Atlanta, and Carol Cukierman, of Chicago, sold their unit M2-1113-A condominium at 1945 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Abram and Hannah Poczter, of Roslyn Harbor, N.Y., for $450,000. Built in 1978, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,265 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $225,00 in 1999. 

Bird Key
Charlotte Isaacs sold her home at 218 Robin Drive to E. Michael and Susan Hunter, of Sarasota, for $1.05 million. Built in 1969, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,518 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.25 million in 2007.
