Obituary: Florence Ward

Florence Ward, 87, of Longboat Key and Peters Township, Penn., died May 2. 

Mrs. Ward graduated from Mount Mercy College. Although she spent most of her life as a loving mother and homemaker, she also had an 11-year career as director of food service at John Kane Hospital. She was an avid bridge player.

Mrs. Ward is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Ward; children Carol Buonamano, Joanne Lagola, Cynthia Baecher, William Ward and Thomas Ward; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A service was held May 6, in Peters Township.
