Charlotte Zwick, 106, of Longboat Key, died May 3.

A native of Cleveland, Mrs. Zwick was a homemaker and an employee of Bonwit-Teller in designer fashion for many years. She was admired as a lady of taste and style throughout her life.

She moved with her sister in 1973 to Longboat Key and was active in many cultural endeavors, including creating prize-winning ceramic pieces at the Longboat Key Center for the Arts. Needlework and bridge were also talents of hers.

She was known for her open and positive outlook. Her mantra was, “Never let the small things bother you.”

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Zwick; sister, Leonore Matson; and nephew, Robert Matson. 

She is survived by her nephew Richard Matson and his wife, Cornelia, who was also her closest friend; niece, Judith Matson, of Mount Kisco, N.Y; and three generations of grand-nieces and nephews.

No memorial services will be held.
