12:49 p.m. — Intersection of Bogey Lane and Ranger Lane
Disturbance: A construction worker reported that a man in a blue pickup truck followed him to his job site to tell him he was upset with his inability to use a turn signal before turning. The man pushed the construction worker, and the construction worker pushed him back. The man then got back in his pickup truck and left.

3:47 p.m. — 3000 block of Grand Bay Boulevard
Fraud: A woman found three unauthorized credit card purchases on her credit card statement and closed her account. She was advised to contact the credit bureaus so she can put a fraud alert on all her accounts.
BARKING ORDERS
11:04 a.m. — 600 block of Longview Drive
Animal Nuisance: A man called to complain that his neighbor’s dogs wouldn’t stop barking. A cable man reported that when he arrived at the residence, a dog was put on the lanai while he worked. The owner told police she wouldn’t put the dog on the lanai anymore.
PHONE FRAUD
2:24 p.m. — 5400 block of GMD
Fraud: A man was surprised to receive a letter in the mail from Sprint welcoming him to the Sprint family because he doesn’t own a Sprint phone. Police advised him to call the company and cancel the account. He realized someone got a hold of his credit card number while he was visiting in Boca Raton.
RETURN RATE
8:57 a.m. — 4000 block of GMD
Found Property: A man found a black wallet on the ground while he was walking his dog. The wallet contained $36 in cash, a Subway sandwich card, a coffee gift certificate and a library card. Police called the library to try and get in touch with the owner. The man was visiting the Key, and police returned the wallet to him at his hotel.
HAIRY SITUATION
11:58 a.m. — 5800 block of GMD
Trespassing: A woman told police that a home she uses only for functions and visitors was found dirty and had sand and dog hair on the floor. She thinks someone has access to the lock box. Nothing was missing from the home. She was advised to change the locks and the lock box code.

3:09 p.m. — 4000 block of GMD
Code Enforcement: A woman flagged down a police officer to report a man was sitting on the beach without wearing clothes. Police found the man sitting in a beach chair with only a small towel covering his private parts. He told police his swimsuit doesn’t fit him anymore and he was sorry he was on the beach naked. He was issued a written warning and escorted from the beach.

3:43 p.m. — Off the Key
Noise Disturbance: Police responded to a noise complaint in the area of Jewfish Key, but marine patrol didn’t hear anything.
WRAP IT UP
5:44 p.m. — 300 block of Firehouse Court
Code Enforcement: A contractor doing a drywall job was told he can’t make noise past 5 p.m. because of the town’s noise ordinance.
THAT STINKS
9:30 a.m. — 2900 block of GMD
Animal Nuisance: A man reported finding dog poop on his lawn. He told police he suspects a neighbor’s dog is the culprit because he’s asked the man to pick up after his dog before.
BEACH BELONGINGS
1:41 p.m. — 100 block of Broadway
Found Property: Beach patrol found an orange shirt and a cell phone on the beach. The owner picked up his belongings at the police station.
BOATER CONCERN
8:36 p.m. — 4600 block of GMD
Rescue: A woman reported a kayaker paddling in the bay but the kayaker disappeared when she looked back to see him. Marine patrol and the U.S. Coast Guard checked the area and found nothing to indicate there was a kayaker who was missing or in distress.
APARTMENT CHECK
4:47 p.m. — 4400 block of GMD
Suspicious Circumstance: A condo manager requested police presence because a neighbor told him they saw someone in an apartment while the owners were away. The apartment was secure and nothing was disturbed.
TAPPED OUT
11:32 p.m. — 3800 block of GMD
Assault: A man told police he used a broom to tap his ceiling, hoping the noise would alert his upstairs neighbor that he was being too loud. But the broom taps irritated his neighbor, who came downstairs and pushed his way inside the man’s apartment and began punching him. The neighbor pushed him into a closet door, breaking the door, and then threw him down on a metal cart. The neighbor admitted to entering the man’s apartment and punching him because he said he was afraid the man was going to hit him with a barbecue rod he was holding. The neighbor was handcuffed and arrested for burglary and battery.
