TUESDAY, MAY 26

Never Marry a Girl with Cold Feet: And Other Life Lessons From Vaudeville — takes place at 6 p.m. at Florida Studio Theatre, 1241 N. Palm Ave. $18 to $36.

Celebrate America’s original form of entertainment — Vaudeville — with this recently opened cabaret production.

This show highlights some of the top musicians of the time, including Fanny Brice, George M. Cohen, Jerome Kern and Al Jolson. Plays through June 7.


WEDNESDAY, MAY 27

World Series of Comedy — takes place at 7 p.m. at McCurdy's Comedy Theatre, 1923 Ringling Blvd. $15 to $18.

This series runs through Sunday and features different comics every night. 40 professional touring comics from the U.S. and Canada vie to be the best comedian in the country.

Audiences will vote alongside judges to help select the winners, who will head to Las Vegas in September for the main event.


THURSDAY, MAY 28

Not-Quite-Friday 5k — takes place at 6 p.m. at JDub's Brewing Co., 1215 Mango Ave. Free.

JDub’s Brewing Co. invites local runners and beer lovers to this weekly 5k run around Ed Smith Stadium and neighboring communities.

Runners will receive 10% off all beer after the run, free water and towels at the finish line as well as a punch card for free prizes after runs 10, 25 and 50.


FRIDAY, MAY 29

+ Doug Deming and the Jewel Tones — takes place at 7 p.m. at Motorworks Brewing Co., 1014 9th St. W., Bradenton. Free.

This fan-favorite rockabilly band will play all of your favorite original and classic tunes in the Motorworks beer garden.

Enjoy the show, rain or shine, and check out the taproom and games while the band plays.


SATURDAY, MAY 30

+ Color Vibe 5k — takes place at 9 a.m. at Premier Sports Campus, 5895 Post Blvd, Bradenton. $30.

Feel the vibes at this 5k and fun run event. Runners will kick up the race experience with a blast of color.

Kids ages 12 and younger run for free, and a portion of the proceeds benefit a local charity.


SUNDAY, MAY 31

Reggae Sunday — takes place at 10 p.m. at Beach Club. Free.

Relax and wind down your week with the soothing reggae sounds of Democracy at Beach Club.

This regular event will keep the good vibes flowing through the rest of your work week.
