Huesman completed 11-of-17 passes for 201 yards and accounted for three touchdowns while leading the host Pirates to their second-consecutive Class 7A-District 11 championship Oct. 23.
The Pirates signal caller connected with Jaylin Austin for a 37-yard touchdown with 7 minutes, 12 seconds remaining in the second quarter. He then connected with Juwaan Jenkins for a 52-yard strike on Braden River’s ensuing possession.
Huesman also scored on a three-yard keeper late in the fourth quarter for Braden River’s final touchdown of the night.

Braden River running back Jaylin Austin scored a pair of touchdowns on a 17-yard run and a 37-yard catch.
Braden River running back Raymond Thomas scored the Pirates' first touchdown on a 9-yard run on their opening possession.
Lakewood Ranch running back Justin Fischer scored the Mustangs' lone touchdown on a 15-yard catch.
