Jeannette Marie Frint, 82, of Holmes Beach, died Aug. 23.

Born May 30, 1933, in Boone County, Ill., she spent the majority of her life there until 1990, when she moved to Bradenton. Mrs. Frint owned and operated the Smak’s Drive-In with her husband, Jack, for nearly 20 years. She worked in bookkeeping and office management throughout her working career and was most recently office manager at Longboat Key’s Casa Del Mar for the last 15 years.

Mrs. Frint was an avid card player and loved reading, swimming and spending time with her family. She fell in love with dancing at the Bradenton Dance Center. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and a former member of Roser Memorial Church, where she was a deacon.

Mrs. Frint was predeceased by her husband, Jack. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Frint; daughter, Julia Schultz; sisters June Gilley, Carol Shawvan-Heinze and Yvonne Shook; brother, Ivan Shawvan; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her very best friend, D.M. Williams.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Bible Baptist Church, 2113 Morgan Johnson Road, Bradenton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Manatee County Public Library System or the American Lung Association.
