John Frisoli, Jr., 72, of Longboat Key and Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, N.J., died Aug. 21.

Born in Newark, N.J., Mr. Frisoli grew up in Short Hills, N.J. He graduated from Delbarton School in 1961 and Georgetown University in 1965. He went on to earn his MBA at American University.

After college, Mr. Frisoli joined Scientific Models,Inc., which was founded by his father, John Frisoli, Sr. In 1983, he started a daughter company, Micro-Mark, Inc., which specializes in small tools for hobbyists and craftsmen and still thrives today.

Mr. Frisoli was a gifted technician and mechanic, as well as an accomplished woodworker. He and his wife, Sandra, spend decades restoring their historical home, the Hoffman equestrian farm along the South Branch of the Raritan River. He invented many of the tools and devices sold under the Micro-Mark name in his impressive home workshop built within the farm’s former stables.

Mr. Frisoli was a member of the Riverside Wine Tasters Group, La Chaine des Rotisseurs, Delta Phi Epsilon and the Sarasota Yacht Club, among others. He was a car aficionado whose collection included several antique automobiles, some of which he painstakingly restored himself.

Mr. Frisoli is remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. His joie de vivre, kind heart and infectious laugh will be dearly missed.

Mr. Frisoli was preceded in death by his son, Peter. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sandra; children John Frisoli III, Pamela Frisoli and Adam Frisoli; sister, Diane Frisoli Nolan; and a granddaughter.

A memorial service was held Aug. 29, in Morristown, N.J.
