Siesta Key continues to attract luxury homebuyers, as a home on Sanderling Road this month became the third largest residential sale of the year, according to a news release from Coldwell Banker.
Coldwell Banker Realtor Linda Weber represented the buyer on the $6.3 million sale of a 5,000-square-foot home at 8306 Sanderling Road, which includes more than 200 feet of walkable beachfront and a tennis court. The parcel last sold for $955,000 in 1988, according to property records.
Coldwell Banker Senior Public Relations Specialist Elise Ramer said the property was listed by Michael Saunders & Co., and information about the buyer was not immediately available.
The sale comes about six months after a home on the same street sold for $5.5 million. That transaction was previously the most expensive sale on Siesta.

So far this year, the average sale price for a home on Siesta has been a little more than $1.1 million, while the median price is roughly $770,000, according to an analysis of the most recent records posted on the Sarasota County Property Appraiser website. The latter number is about even with the median sale prices for the same period in 2014, while average prices have fallen about 14%.
"Selling a home of this magnitude reinforces the strength of the luxury market and demand for spectacular estates," said Weber in the release. "Like this one."
