You can start the weekend tonight with some hometown football rivalry. Watch Lakewood Ranch High School Mustangs and Braden River High School Pirates tackle it out for bragging rights at the football game tonight. Braden River is undefeated this season.

Both schools have been celebrating Spirit Week leading up to the game, which extended into social media: the Braden River and student Twitter accounts have started hashtags like #beatLakewood and #firethecannons. Braden River students are planning a “black out” by wearing black t-shirts to the game.

The kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. at Braden River High’s football field.

Feel like being active Saturday morning? Don’t miss out on the GreyHawk Landing fun walk, Rock-it to a Cure, a 2-mile fundraising

walk for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer awareness.

Margo Diener, a GreyHawk resident and breast cancer survivor, organized the walk with the help of friends and the events committee for the Community Development District. It’s GreyHawk’s first event in the community that’s open to the public.
