Riverview wins three straight

The Riverview High volleyball team defeated Sarasota, Tampa Alonso and Lakewood Ranch in its last three matches. 

Riverview defeated crosstown rival Sarasota 25-23, 25-19, 25-17 Sept. 16. 

Margo Schnapf powered the Lady Rams with 12 kills, 14 digs and three aces. Kenzie Walker added 10 kills and two blocks. Sam Norden contributed 14 digs, 12 perfect passes and two aces. 

On Sept. 17, the Lady Rams opened district play with a 25-6, 25-7, 25-7 victory over Tampa Alonso. Rachel Meringer powered Riverview with four kills. Mikaela Braune and Sarah Miller each added six digs. 

Riverview followed up its win with a 25-20, 25-22, 24-26, 30-28 victory over Lakewood Ranch Sept. 21. 

Walker led the Lady Rams with 18 kills. Schnapf added 14 kills. Freshman Alex Hilton contributed 10 kills to help secure the victory.
