Sept. 21

HERITAGE HARBOR
7200 block of Ketch Place
Information only: The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office received a call that three men were “acting suspiciously” near a construction site within Heritage Harbor. Two deputies responded to the call and talked with the three men at the site, where a house is being built. The men told the deputies that a cement truck was delivering the concrete they needed later than expected, so they had just finished a concrete installation and were waiting for their boss to pick them up from the jobsite. Deputies contacted their boss, who confirmed the reason for their late stay.

Sept. 18

BRADEN RIVER HIGH SCHOOL
6500 block of S.R. 70 East
Found: During a football game, a small bag of white powder was found in the parking lot and turned into the Sheriff’s Office. It appeared to be cocaine.

Sept. 20

LAKEWOOD RANCH
8100 block of Lakewood Main Street
Found: A Starbucks worker found a bag with 3 grams of a leafy substance inside that smelled like marijuana while she was sweeping after the business closed. A deputy responded and took the baggie for destruction. The deputy reported it was unknown where the baggie came from.

Sept. 25

LAKEWOOD RANCH
6200 block of White Clover Cir. 
Information Only: A juvenile was riding around the neighborhood on a mini dirt bike and got lost, which eventually led to the bike running out of gas. The juvenile approached the reporting party about being lost, but it was hard for the juvenile to communicate because of a condition. The reporting party called the sheriff’s office, who arrived on scene to help locate the child’s mother. 

Sept. 21

BRADEN RUN
9200 block of 65th Avenue East
Domestic disturbance: A mother, her son and his girlfriend live together in a home. The couple is planning on getting their own apartment. However the mother and son began to argue about his girlfriend’s morning routine when she gets ready for work, and also about their dog. The mother and son began the argument inside but continued arguing outside the home on the street. The deputy said in the report that the couple decided to spend the night at the girlfriend’s parents home.

Sept. 25

1700 block of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard
Fraud/Use of Identification of Another without Consent. The victim reviewed his Verizon account history and confirmed that an unknown person used his personal identification information through Verizon and fraudulently purchased four phones.

8300 block of Lockwood Ridge Road
Larceny, Petit:While selecting items to purchase, the offenders selected several items from the shelves of the business and stayed in the store for about three hours before making their way to the front registers. The two offenders paid for several items, but not for everything Unpaid items were valued at $53.32 and $49.67, respectively. Both were arrested and transported to jail.
