1 — Lakewood Ranch junior Hunter Reed finished eighth out of 107 wrestlers in the 126-pound weight class and achieved All-American status at the 26th Annual NHSCA High School National Wrestling Championships March 27 through March 29, in Virginia Beach.
2 — The Out-of-Door Academy’s M’Balia Bangoura and Sydney Sforzo earned an automatic berth in the Class 1A state tennis tournament after winning the Class 1A-District 9 No. 1 doubles title March 31.
3 — Lakewood Ranch freshmen Gia Cohen and Grace Hagopian won No. 1 and No. 3 singles titles to help lead the Mustangs to a first-place finish at the Class 4A-District 8 tennis tournament March 31.
4 — Braden River senior first baseman Bethaney Keen went 2-for-4 with two triples, two RBI and two runs scored to lead the Pirates to a 10-3 victory against Brandon April 1.
5 — The Out-of-Door Academy’s Max Munroe tossed a one-hitter with a pair of strikeouts to help lead the Thunder past Keswick Christian 13-0 in the opener of the Taylor Emmons Classic March 28.
