1 — ODA’s Vaughn Garcia beat Justin Braverman 6-1, 3-6, 10-7 to propel the boys tennis team to a 4-1 victory against Community School of Naples in the Class 1A-Region 5 final April 7. The Thunder clinched its first state tournament berth.

2 — Lakewood Ranch pitcher Logan Newton tossed a two-hit shutout to lead the Mustangs to a 17-0 four-inning victory over North Port April 8. She also hit a two-run home run.

3 — Braden River senior Bethaney Keen went 2-for-4 with a home run, six RBI and two runs scored to lead the Pirates to a 10-4 victory over Venice April 6, on Senior Night.

4 — Lakewood Ranch pitcher Matt Ambrosino had three hits and an RBI to lead the Mustangs to a 9-6 victory versus Inspiration Academy April 6.

5 — Ian Martin and Declann McCann each scored four goals to lead The Out-of-Door Academy’s boys lacrosse team to a 16-0 District 17 semifinal victory over Sarasota Military Academy April 6.
