This fall, a new $8.4 million bayside home on Longboat Key will allow its residents to feel they’re always on vacation.

“We want this home to feel like you’re going to a five-star resort,” said Richard Perrone, of Perrone Construction. “We want to take full advantage of this exceptional waterfront property.”

The home, called Acqua Vita, at 5050 Gulf of Mexico Drive, held its soft opening April 15.

The six-bedroom, five-and-two-half-bath home will have 11,511 total square feet of living area, 7,250 of which is under air.

Five bedrooms are ensuite, and the master suite has more than 2,000 square feet with a bonus room that can be a sixth bedroom.

“The idea in this house was to create areas that are very, very private,” Perrone said. “There’s a vestibule before each room, and none of the bedrooms are next door to each other. It’s the ultimate privacy.”

The house will include a four-car garage, an elevator, a kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, an outdoor pavilion area and deeded beach access.

Perrone expects the house to be completed in early fall. Realtor Lynne Koy, of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, represents the sellers of the home.

The home, on approximately one acre of land, will feature a gated entry, a tree-lined driveway and a two-story, columned entrance.

The goal of the home was to combine the stately residences of Palm Beach and the ambiance of the islands.

The backyard area includes a pool, spa, fire pit, gazebo and terrace. The 260 feet of seawall includes private dockage.

“There’s an exceptional outside space,” Perrone said. “It’s almost a resort-like pool and pavilion area. Picture sitting right here every morning.”

One of the six bedrooms is a private guest suite with an outdoor entrance.

“It’s a guest suite for the ultimate privacy,” Perrone said. “Guests can come and go at their own will. It doesn’t open to the house. It works very well for live-in nannies, parents or in-laws.”

The upper-level master suite includes a private balcony and vestibule, morning coffee bar, a bonus/exercise room and views of the Sarasota Bay.

“We always strive to bring several special areas to many homes, and the master suite is something special,” Perrone said.

The master bathroom has its own balcony with views of the water.

“The tub in the bathroom is dead center,” Perrone said. “It gives residents the perfect view.”
