East County High 5 Moments: 08.11.16

1 — On Aug. 4, Braden River senior Camie Lizardi announced her commitment to play Division I soccer for the University of South Florida. 

2 — After missing the last two months of the season undergoing rehabilitation from a torn anterior cruciate ligament, Braden River running back Raymond Thomas returned to the gridiron Aug. 1 for the first day of practice. 

3 — Nolan Middle School eighth-grader Jacob Danowski and his Sarasota Babe Ruth 13U All-Star teammates will compete in the Babe Ruth League World Series Aug. 11 to Aug. 18, in Ottumwa, Iowa. 

4 — Patricia Root scored 58 to win the individual low net Women’s Golf Association event Aug. 2, at Palm Aire Country Club. 

5 — On Aug. 2, Braden River defensive back Tyrone Collins received his ninth offer from the University of Missouri.
