The community will get its first glimpse of the Riverview High football team during the 1st annual Pre-Season Sarasota County High School Football Team Showcase Aug. 12, at the Robert Taylor Complex.

THURSDAY, Aug. 11

The Booker High football team will be on display as part of the 1st annual Pre-Season Sarasota County High School Football Team Showcase. The event will be held at 5:30 p.m. on the new turf field, at the Robert Taylor Complex.

FRIDAY, Aug. 12

The community will get a sneak peak of what to expect from the Riverview High football team this season when the Rams take part in the 1st annual Pre-Season Sarasota County High School Football Team Showcase. The event will kick off at 5:30 p.m. on the new turf field, at the Robert Taylor Complex.

SATURDAY, Aug. 13

Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate in Candy’s Circus Run to benefit CureSearch for Children’s Cancer. The 5K and one mile fun run and walk will begin at 8 a.m., at Nathan Benderson Park.

WEDNESDAY, Aug. 17

The Sarasota Military Academy and The Out-of-Door Academy volleyball teams will welcome the fall season during a four-team Preseason Tournament, at ODA. The Eagles will face Southeast at 5 p.m. while the Thunder will host Hardee at 7 p.m.
