TV PARTY
1 a.m. — 100 block of Signal Pointe Circle
Noise complaint: A woman requested to meet with an officer regarding her downstairs neighbor, who was playing the TV loudly. The woman said this has been an ongoing problem with the downstairs apartment, but that the rental office directed her to call 911 when the issue arises. An officer entered the woman’s apartment, but could not hear anything from downstairs. The woman stated the noise stopped just prior to the officer’s arrival.
CHUNK OF CHANGE
6 a.m. — 2100 block of Benjamin Franklin Drive
Burglary: The manager of a condo said someone broke into the clubhouse over the weekend, breaking a large glass window to gain access. The manager said the subject took a can with about $100 worth of cash and a bag with about $200 in quarters inside. Because only a few residents are currently staying at the condos, there were no witnesses to the incident.
KNOCKED HIS BLOCK OFF
2 p.m. — 200 block of Shopping Lane
Property Damage: The owner of a construction company reported that a former employee broke a slab of granite valued at $3,000. The owner said the former employee had been hanging around the business lately, and that another worker saw the former employee come into the building and kick the piece of granite. The worker told an officer the former employee said the boss owed him $5,000, and that he was going to get his money one way or another. The former employee kicked the stone off of a rack after making that statement, the worker said.
JUICED UP
2:27 p.m. — 1400 block of First Street
Theft: A security guard at a grocery store witnessed a man grab a bottle of juice and take it to the restroom, where he drank it and then left the store without paying. An officer spoke to the man, who admitted to drinking the juice and not paying for it.
