ODA senior Greta Holland tallied 15 digs to lead the Thunder volleyball team to a 3-0 preseason victory versus Southeast Aug. 18.

1 — Braden River senior quarterback Louis Colosimo completed 7-of-7 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown to help propel the Pirates to a 38-10 victory over River Ridge in their Kickoff Classic Aug. 19. He also scored on a 39-yard run.

2 — Sophomore Kinsey Newhams recorded eight aces to lead The Out-of-Door Academy volleyball team to a 3-0 preseason tournament victory over Sarasota Military Academy Aug. 17.

3 —Running back Jay Turner scored from three yards out for the Lakewood Ranch football team’s lone score during its 20-7 Kickoff Classic loss to Riverview Aug. 19.
