FRIDAY, Sept. 2 

The Lakewood Ranch High football team hosts Bayshore in its home opener at 7:30 p.m. Both teams lost their season opener and will be eager to pick up their first win.

FRIDAY, Sept. 2

The Braden River High football team will put its 22-game regular season winning streak on the line when the Pirates host Southeast in their home opener. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. 

SATURDAY, Sept. 3-SUNDAY, Sept. 4

If you’ve ever wanted to learn the basics of rowing, then Learn to Row 101 is for you. The program, which is open to all rowers, ages 12 and up, will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. both days, at Nathan Benderson Park. Cost is $150. 

SATURDAY, Sept. 3-MONDAY, Sept. 5

More than a hundred boys and girls youth soccer teams, ranging from U11 to U19, will hit the field for the 2016 Tampa Bay Labor Day Tournament, at the Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch. Pool play will begin at 8 a.m. Sept. 3 and will continue throughout the weekend with championship rounds scheduled throughout the day Sept. 5.
